J hall rifle
« on: December 30, 2010, 04:55:22 AM »
I am still considering trades for several modern firearms in my collection and was recently offered a rifle made by J Hall. I was told he built rifles for match shooting and thats all I know. Has anyone heard of him, a search turned up nothing.

Are you sure it isn't T. Hall? If it is the T. Hall that I know it is a fine rifle. Is it possible to get a picture or two?

He does blacksmith work. Forges his own rifle mounts and a knife on occasion. Lives in Winchester, KY.

Thanks Charles,
I have a set of forged pipes and a buttplate from a T. Hall  that I am inletting on my .25 caliber rifle.  I also have a .30 cliber rifle that he forged the mounts for.  His file work is something else.
I better stop hi-jacking marcusb's thread.

OK, you found the right guy! There are a few of my early rifles out there that are signed J. Hall. No match rifles however.  ;D
