Just a technique I use when making the panels and anytime I am making lines to engrave names/sayings on horns. It helps to lay it out a sharply as possible. To do this, I use black electrical tape--it is flexible and will conform to the shape of the horn so you can pencil in lines that are clean and crisp. Also, I start with the line on the inside or outside curve and then draw a line on the opposite side of the horn. Then look down the length of the horn and draw a line halfway between the two on each side so you have 4 lines dividing the horn into quarters. Half those and you have an 8 panel horn that conforms to the shape of the horn in proportion--hopes that this makes sense--just my technique...
