I'm looking for a place to buy a wad punch in 54cal. TOW has them but only up to 50cal. If there is no place to buy one does anyone have any ideas on steel tubing or pipe that could be ground sharp to do the job? Thank You, Frank

Sometimes I forget that this puter has a search engine. I searched for wad punch's and found several, only problem was most of them were in foreign countrys and required payment in other than US dollars. Finally found one that I could pay for in USD and low shipping and no paypal. Hopefully my quest is ended. Frank

Do as you want, but an easier way of cutting round patches is with a hole saw blade with the teeth removed, and the edge sharpened, mounted in a drill press. You can fold the patch material to 8 or 10 layers, set it on a board. Then set another board over the cloth, having a hole in it large enough for the blade to clear. Hold the top board in place , just takes hand pressure, and with the blade turning, press it down mthrough the hole. It cuts easily, and you can get 8 to 10 patches per cycle. You can cut a few hundred patches in very short time. Just a suggestion.

Just recieved a wad punch 14mm or 9/16" in the mail from BTR  distributors in Florida. Punches a nice wad and fits my barrel perfectly. That search is ended. Frank
