I just finished a pistol with an octagon to round barrel by Charles Burton. He is now building me another swamped pistol barrel. Excellent work and nice fellow. He had a booth across from mine at the CLA show this year.

I heard that GM is working on a huge machine gun barrel contract for the war in afghanistan until end of 2011. I guess all other barrels are being put on hold.

Thanks for posting this information on here.  I'm about to attempt a 38" Isaac Haines and I need a "B" barrel in .50 caliber.  Everybody is out of them now.  I thought about Tip.  I'll give him a call tomorrow.
