L.P. Holmes info needed.

       Anyone have any info on a maker named L.P. Holmes?  I checked Sellers ist edition and there are various Holmes gunsmiths, but no L.P.   The signature is a rather nice set into a silver plate on top of the barrel of a late percussion period rifle. The barrel showed sighs of having several sets of staples, so it may have come from another/earlier rifle.  Thanks  Ron

Thanks  Oakridge,   All those guys named Holmes and no L.P.  I suppose I will have to find a Holmes named Sherlock to find L.P.
