I hope I am in the right location...In doing some genealogy of my wifes family I discoverd this Joseph Lewis. He was born in England in 1795 and came to America in 1816 and was a master gunsmith. He opened a shop on Mott Street in New York City. Does anyone have any information on this gunsmith? I know this is a longrifle forum...but any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
