No More "0" Buckshot

Just found out Hornady has discontinued some of their Buckshot. "0" Buck was one of them.
They say lack of sales. "0" Buck is all I use in all my .32 pistols and rifles. Hornady was kind
enough to sell me what I needed to keep me shootin for the next 25 years. I'm 68 now.
So I'm set, at a good discount price to boot!. Very Very nice people.

One can cast ball and buy swaged ball in that size.  While it was easier to buy buckshot, all is not lost.  I have used a 319 in 32 rifles.

Right, but when you can buy them for 1 1/2 cents a piece, I won't mould them.

They call it #1 rather than 0, but Ballistic Products lists .310 buck shot.  Noodle around their listings and they also have .300 and .320.

Isn't the BP shot higher in antimony (and harder) than the Hornady?

Some 20 years ago when common lead buckshot disappeared, I got by breaking down 12 gauge buckshot shells in "o" buck. It was often cheaper than by the 100 in a plastic box. Then I switched to Hornady "o" , but it was hardened, out of round, and as large as .323. Heck with all that !   

I found a custom caster making .319, not as out of round as Hornaday, and have a great supply now.    Lon

You are right Lon, It is 97% pure lead and 3% antimony.  They are out of round a little and do
measure .323. My wife has won the Nationals 6 times using them, the daughter won the Jr.
championship and I have won several matches at the Nationals with Hornady Buckshot. They
are OK with us. Here is a 50 yd. pistol target the wife shot with them. Mebby if she would use
a perfect cast round ball, she could do better. Don't know.
