My New Folk Art Horn
« on: March 18, 2011, 09:06:12 PM »
Here is my take on the Joseph Senter horn of 1738. I was lucky enough to have gotten a horn with the same twist and size of the original so the layout was not that difficult. I left off the original owner's name and did move the images around a bit, but I tried to keep the original horn's quirkiness and folk style without trying to make an exacting copy.

I hope you like it, but constructive criticism is appreciated.
Regards,
Rick

Rick,
That horn has a great look to it.  I think you nailed it as far as what you were trying to accomplish.  I love the folksy stuff and this horn is on the high end folk art.

Very, very nice workmanship, especially if your intent was replication.  Nice looking piece indeed !!!   ;D
