I'm interested in building a french/Piage style percussion pistol.  I'm looking for locks and breech plugs for this type of gun.

Does anyone stock these ?

Best regards

I'll bet they would have to be made yourself.  There is an outside chance you may find someone who has pulled molds from an original.  What is available and any quality is primarily stuff appropriate for an American longrifle or pistol.  When you start dealing with European stuff, and you want good quality appropriate parts, most of the time it must be made yourself.

Hi Rolf,
Two possibilities that I can think of.  Davide Pedersoli makes several European percussion pistols and sells locks for them.  Their Kuchenreuter pistol lock might work for you.  Also the Rifle Shoppe has a series 561 lock that would work very well.  It is just, you know, The Rifle Shoppe.

Thank you for your replys. I got an email from Blackley (England). He says he makes castings of this type of lock and breech plug. The mold for the breech plug was taken with the plug attached to the barrel. So the plug will require a lot of machining. He said he will send me pictures. I'll post them when I get them.

Best regards
