Thanks all for the kind comments. It has been great fun and at times hard work.  Still have finish work to do but it's all fun. Camped out in it last weekend with my wife and daughter and had a great time- that's what it is all about.

I went to an estate sale this morning.  Old guy in his 80's passed away.  Old small planation house with 12 ft. ceilings, original clawfoot bath tub, fireplaces in most rooms.  Still cooked with cast iron.  When I looked at the sale pictures online, I thought I saw a powder horn on a table with some hewing axes, which is why I went.  It turned out to be a carved water buffalo horn instead.

While looking around outside, there was a drying shed full of lumber.  Apparently, it contains everything to build a 1200 sq ft log cabin.  Logs are all square and there is a set of plans.  It's for sale, but I didn't ask how much.  He had already built another one as a hunting cabin on some other property that he owned.  I think the sale runs thru Monday.

TOF - I think square logs with dovetail joints make a nicer looking cabin. I had originally though I would square my logs but quickly realized that on my time line it would have changed a 2 summer project into a 10 summer project!
