W.Foster barrel

I have comming my way a barrel marked W. Foster. My references show a Foster out of Ohio and I am hoping that somebody else here may be able to direct me to having some other info. It's just the barrel, stamped. I would like to resurrect it and shoot it.

Donald Hutslar listed a White Foster in Columbiana Co, OH, in 1868, picked + copied by Sellers

Whisker has a William Foster, born c.1809, in Mercer County, PA, based on 1850 US Census.
Sellers listed him in North Liberty, the hamlet in Mercer Co where he worked
He was also listed in Boyd's 1861 directory of whole state of PA

Either could be correct man -- could be another thus far unlisted person
no way ever to tell w/ only a barrel
