How to use search function
« on: April 20, 2011, 05:15:23 AM »
A while back I asked for a book or books describing how to build a muzzleloacing rifle. Several of you good people were kind enough to send me in the right direction and I looked up the  book most seemed to recommend. I didn't have the money to buy the book at that time, as I remember it was in the 40 dollar range. Now I have the money but can't remember the name of the book. I would like to learn how to use the search engine so I can look for the info but naturally cant make that work either!!!!!!!!!!!   HELP!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!   Frank

I think that the book was "Recreating the American Longrifle" $40.00 is the correct price for this.  Google Schumway Publishers for ordering information.

As far as using the search function, I will be watching this closely as I don't know ether.

To use the search feature, you have to be logged on.  At the top of the page, just under the picture of the longrifle, there are several buttons, one of them is "Search".  Click the Search button and the feature will open.  Type in the word or words you want to search for.  You can search for posts by a certain person or just use the default, which is *, which means everyone.  You can also limit your search to certain boards within ALR or just use the default, which is all boards.  I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but that ought to get ya started.

This might be the thread you are looking for:

If you click on your user name, your profile comes up and at the bottom is listed
"Show the last posts of this person." You can use this to search through threads you
participated in.
