Source of half round Surform blades
« on: April 27, 2011, 11:51:20 PM »
The half round blade seems to work better than the flat ones.  I have a couple but they have now worn and rusted out.  Lowe's ,Home Depot and the standard chain hardware stores do not have them and I haven't found them online.  Are these simply not manufactured anymore?  That wouldn't surprise me as good products are often discontinued. _ Thanks

Stanley Tools website has them listed...you can buy them on-line.

Best,
John.

My local "Ace" hardware store has them in their tool section??
if you can find an old Mom n Pop hardware store.. there is bound to be
countless tools you will want and WON'T find elsewhere!!

We have them here in NY in just about every hardware store. Auto body supply stores carry them too. Just got a full round one locally this winter also. Its about 5/8 in diameter and 12" long, stanley I think. Very handy

Thanks for the information on sources for the Surform blades.  They are available on-line as John A. said.  I had done a general search rather than going to the Stanley Tool website.  My computer skills are a bit limited.   I actually ordered them through Amazon.
Again I appreciate the responses to this and my other questions.
