Frizzen half sole
« on: May 01, 2011, 04:56:12 PM »
After numerous frustrating  attempts at hardening a repro frizzen for an original 1816 lock, I'm looking for someone
that can do a halfsole job for me. The results I got trying to harden it always left me with decent initial sparking,
with little to none soon after. I want to get it resoled and be done with it so I can get back to shooting. Interesting
1816 by the way.I built it with original hardware and wood with replacement forearm, reconverted lock(hence the problem with the frizzen), and a RIFLED barrel from Whitacre barrel. This "hybrid" shoots very well when the lock works! Any help finding someone to do the job will be greatly appreciated.
