Grand Valley Cap & Ballers Chunk Gun Shoot
« on: May 08, 2011, 11:10:48 PM »
Grand Valley Cap & Ballers (near Dorr MI. )had their first chunk gun shoot last Friday May 6 th. There was a small turn out but hope to have more show up next time. Dennis Priddy put the shoot on and that included all the prizes . Each relay the shooter with the best"X" got a small plaque and the over all top shooter won a DROP DEAD hand engraved belt buckle made by Dennis. Everyone was trying their best to win the buckle but Bob Perry came out on top shooting a flint chunk gun that he made. Dennis was shooting an off hand flint rifle that he just finished for a customer and the night before shot it for the first time and got the sights adjusted it took him about three shots to get setteled in then he kicked some butt.I think we woke up a sleeping giant next time we see him he will have made a chunker. I lucked out and had the best "X" of the day 0.008 on the first relay.
