2nd Annual Fess Parker Memorial Shoot Results

We had a good day for our 2nd Annual Fess Parker Shoot on Sunday (May 15).  We gained one shooter this year with a few other muzzle loading shooters who were at the range (with those cartridge rifles) coming over from the 300 yard range to watch some of the action.  Both men mentioned they'd be at the 3rd Annual Fess Parker shoot next year, as they didn't know we held monthly ML shoots.

All in all we had a good time.  We figure for our population way out here in the middle of nowhere (under 1000), six competitors wasn't a bad turn out.  We don't require period dress at our monthly shoots, and even I passed on getting decked out in period dress this year.  This was the first weekend in some time we had decent weather.

Most us would like to see what target and distance went with each score.  Good to know what the other guys are doing and thanks for the photos.

Roger, they're in Nebraska.  Maybe someday Nebraska might be part of PA.  For now though, it's a long ride.

I'll Put you on our mailing list.  We'll start planning for next year in a few weeks.  I believe the projected date's (as of today) will be May 26 & 27, 2012...  We plan on adding a pistol shoot as well as a hawk & knife throw.  Might even be a few more shooting matches in the works.  Perhaps a two day event may draw in a few more folks?  I'll keep you posted.

Roger, yes we're kind of a far piece from eastern Pennsylvania.  All are welcome who venture this way.
