Which L&R percussion lock?

When building a single shot English-style BIG bore percussion cap lock half-stock rifle, which L&R percussion lock will be most aesthetically pleasing to use?
I am much less concerned with historically correct than with attractive. And I prefer L&R to any other percussion lock.

English lock with Express hammer. I think that may be their only english percussion lock.

Many thanks, Dave, for your reply. Looking at L&R's lock web page
http://www.lr-rpl.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=38&Itemid=61
, I do not detect a lock by that reference. Which lock are you identifying?

I hear you regarding L&R Locks, but visually, functionally, and quality wise, the Davis 'Henry' percussion lock, item #0224, is a much better lock. Just trying to help!

Looks like they are calling it a shotgun lock now. The nicer hammer is on request apparantly. Numbers 500 and 600 (right and left).

I like the Davis lock better as well.

I agree with the others...the Davis lock is the way to go. It's made for the purpose.

Art is not an object. It is the excitement inspired by the object.
