I see Mark's skill goes far beyond the forge and anvil!!  I love the rifle Mark!  ...hope mine (with your hardware) is half as nice.

The guy is a rising star.  The shaping of the wrist is terrific- subtle hint of a step wrist there- just right.  Would love to see (gasp!) Marc do a fantasy iron-mounted Bucks County rifle- the style would present some great opportunities for his skills in forming iron with the entry thimble skirt, etc.

Marc does a really nice job on his iron work.

Every now and then he makes a few pieces for sale and I was lucky enough to get a Bogle style buttplate from him recently - very neatly made and it will be teamed with one of Myron Carlson's Bogle style guards and patchboxes for a build later this year.

Marc,
Really nice rifle.  I really like your rifle's lines and your hardware.  Keep up the good work, and hope to see you in August.

Nice looking rifle. I'm getting to like the iron mounted rifles more and more.

Does anyone know what size diameter the touch hole is, or how I can get in touch with Marc Tornichio.

I don't check ALR that often these days, but when I saw Marc's rifle on the Contemporary Makers Blog,  I had to come over here and leave a note of congratulations.   It seems that Marc was just starting out a little while ago; and now he has produced such a nice rifle with so much custom iron work.  I would be proud to have made such a rifle and now the competition has raised a notch.  What I particularly like is that Marc made something unique; that was just his own.    It is a step beyond the constraints of just historically correct.   That is the thing I like about doing southern iron mounted rifles.   The originals were eclectic and that gives us modern makers a little more leeway in our creative expressiveness.  Congratulations, Marc, on this work!

Thanks for the compliments gentlemen. If it wasn't for the help of so many generous people through out the years. I would still be sitting on the sidelines still hoping to try to build a rifle. It took me 5 years before I was able to get the courage to attempted to build a rifle. I really tried to push my skills with this rifle. It was often very frustrating when I would get stuck on some new issue that I had not encountered before. There were several people that helped along the way. It makes it all worth while to see that others appreciate the end product.

Mike the touch hold diameter had not been drilled yet when the pictures where taken. I purchase an internal coning tool from a member here on the board and plan on using it on this rifle.

;D  I got to see and handle Mark's rifle at Friendship yesterday.  It is something to behold.  Now I understand why so many rifles are named for women.  That is one sexy rifle!
