Greetings!

I'm doing some research on early club butt rifles in preparation for building one for myself.  Specifically, looking for photographic reference of club butt pieces that date pre- 1765.  Looking for pieces that are more of the 1720-1750 variety. (Photos, specs, lengths, barrels, oct to round barrels vs. straight round barrels, etc.)

I have the book, "Flintlock Fowlers" and "Colonial Guns" but there are one ow two I know are out of print and a bit hefty in the used book realm, so I'm at a loose there!

Thank you very much for your time fellas,... it's much appreciated!

Kind Regards,
Jason

Artificer,...

Thanks for the links,... I knew of some of those already, but thanks regardless.
Todd Bitler's work blows me away,... EVERYTHING he does is REALLY great work!  Very inspirational.

likely before your time frame, but Man at Arms mag [latest ed] has a nice article with excellent pics of a mid 17th cent fowler that looks to set the club but style....also shows pics of similar age guns...
