A historical piece

I was looking to do a historical piece and in leafing through Madison Grants book I came across page 160.  What follows is my representation of the great piece on that page.  My horn is a left side carry instead of right and I left the name off the horn in hopes the purchaser will want his or hers in its place.  the rest is the copy of the scrimshaw on the horn in the book.

11" on the insde curve
14" on the outside curve
3" across the base. 
the tip is fashioned from moose antler and is 2 1/4"
the plug and stopper are of walnut.

Very nice interpretation of this early Pennsylvania horn (1775). I especially like the spout area and plug treatment. Jim & Alyce.

Beautifully done - nice color - really like the spout, plug and engraving.    Interestingly, I was reading in Grant's book just last night about the very horn this one is patterned on and pondering the "Liberty and Property for America" engraved on it.

The color and form are just right. I really like the engraving not fussy and very folky. Bring it to Dixon's please.
