Stopped in on my way back from the beach.
Great people.
They even let my son make a few strokes on the barrel rifler.
Nice event.

wish I coulda got more pics, but my camera battery went belly up after an hour.
so did my wallet. :o

the photos don't register even half of what there was to see and hear - wish I coulda captured more.
just walking in to Chuck Dixon's shop....  sigh... - you'd think you'd gone to MLer heaven.
getting to meet folks like Jim Chambers and Liston Rce and all the great builders, too many to mention - it's a real treat.
make a road trip next year !

Looks like a good event to attend!  I'm kinda new to the gun building trade, where is this event held?  I can't find much online.

Thank you Mike the pictures are outstanding. I was there most of the day Saturday with my oldest son and one of my daughters, time well spent. I came back myself on Sunday , just can't seem to get enough. The people are real ,genuine and very giving of their time.           Steve

Very nice pictures.
I took a few with my limited picture taking abilitys. I'll try to post them here if I can.

I was there on friday and for a while saturday morning. Bought a few things including my very first ever 'kit'.
I've only ever built 4 rifles in my life and 3 of them were while I was in my teens. I'm going on 62 now.
I bought one of the English Sporting Rifle kits from Jim Chambers & Co.

The great piece of english walnut wood was the draw I guess. I had no idea what went with it or caliber, etc. Didn't even know the bbl was a separate buy!..I felt like such a nube!
They sent me over to Rice to pick that up. Luckily they had 'one' in 54cal on hand that I wanted so that didn't have to be shipped to me.
Steel furniture instead of brass (I like to engrave on steel better than brass),,I'll probably make a few very small changes in things as I go and we'll see how it turns out.

Great folks to deal with and I couldn't have been happier with the product.

Picked up a couple of other stock wood blanks, some parts even a few tools. Alot to keep me busy for sure.
The heat & humidity was on all day but there was plenty of places to cool down under the trees or tents.
A definate must-do trip next year again.

Last year was my first trip. Couldn't make it this year due to recovering from knee replacement surgery. Even though it is 1300 miles for me, it was well worth the trip. Will be back next year for sure with a bigger allowance in the pocket!  ;D
