Daryl ; I think the barrels you are refering to look like an old set he is using for a patern to make a cutter for the hooks on his new set of barrels ??

This is fantastic.........way beyond what most of us are capable of doing in our hobby world but there are plenty of folks on here who would be very interested...

I suggest that you change the title of your thread to

JvR - it's looking very good. Many years ago, I started a DR project, using similar process and angle iron for the double barrel tang. I was going for a tapered pin from the side for lockup as on an underhammer rather than hooks, but it never got past the planning and rough-cut-out stage.
