Large "Wrap Around" Powder Horn
« on: September 15, 2011, 03:21:43 AM »
This horn was made by my good friend Rick Lorenzen. The camera failed to pick up the animal and bird figures which were lightly scrimmed between the panels.  I call it a wrap around horn because the natural curvature flows right around my left side. Should hold enough powder to make it through a long weekend of heavy shooting with my .54!

I hear you Sonny! I'm a 38 and this one wraps around my "love handle" padding and the spout twists upward for an easy grab for pouring. Rick really makes some nice horns! He also showed me one of his F & I map horns that knocked my socks off. He had it sold before I had a chance to photogragh it! I didn't let this one get away......I bought it :).

Rick's a great horn maker and his prices are very good also. He goes to the CLA show every year and is in the big room if you want to see more of his work.

What a nice horn!  It has great architecture and coloring.  Thanks for sharing it.
