Small Pipe Hawk
« on: September 23, 2011, 07:34:54 PM »
The head is a 6" from R.E. Davis, with just a little file work, could be better. The bands and mouth piece are cast on Pewter, the hearts are Brass and are pinned on. The cap is also Brass, pinned on, the clean out plug is antler and is threaded. It has a rawhide gasket
I added a couple pics if the hearts, stacked up, glued to each other and a thin stick with Super glue, makes them real easy to hold.

Good looking little Hawk Tim.  I really like those heads.  Nice castings and they make a dandy little tomamhawk when finished.

Tim,
Did you cast the bands on the handle or where they made first and slid up the handle?  I love the hawk.  Been wanting to build one, just want to make the head also.  That where my problem lies
