1776 Knife
« on: September 25, 2011, 02:29:56 AM »
Can you guys who are into knives tell me if this knife looks right for rev war era?

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

Suzkat, Very hard to tell.  Possibly a cut down sword, or newly re-hafted in antler (very clean-?), or a new guard (doesn't seem to fit in,) or a 'parts' knife?  Does it look like it's been resharpened or cleaned-up?  The pommel looks very interesting, but the knife, as a whole... dunno about that  ???
