Last one for now.  Raised carved on spine of butt and small area on right side of butt, but no carving on left side of butt.  I was told a Western PA Rifle, maker initials on top of barrel   DBT.   Thoughts?

It does look like Western Pa.  DBT might be Daniel B. Troutman.  See the rifle pictured here:   http://www.korns.org/misc/troutman-gunsmiths/troutman-rifle-A.html
Scroll down to the signature.  The initial letters look to me to be almost exactly like the initials on your rifle.

It might be the work of Daniel Benjamin Troutman of Bedford Co., PA. The incised carving on comb and rear of side facings looks neat; I've never seen anything like it, and would want to inspect it in-hand to make sure it's original to the gun.   Shelby Gallien
