restoration work/museum quality/1867 roberts
« on: October 27, 2011, 03:49:15 AM »
hello all.......... I am looking for a gunsmith that can do custom work on antique firearms. My friend has a roberts 1867 rifle that was his fathers. He dropped the gun an shattered the wooden stock, an is really feeling bad that it was in the family so long to have this happen. Can anybody give me the name of a gunsmith that works on restoration of museum quality work on old rifles such as this? I have seen repairs on original guns that defy anyone to find the repair......I am seeking such this person!.thanks....sonny

Sonny, try contacting Mark Wheland, he is located in Williamsburg Pa. Ill give you his web site www.markwhelandrifles.com.

He will be at the Artisans Fair in Lewisburg Pa. in February and I am sure he would be able to help you or provide another artist to help and meet your needs
