Nazareth "kit" pistol
« on: November 14, 2011, 09:58:41 PM »
Just finished this pistol.  Made from parts and Hoyt barrel supplied by Chris Altland.  My first pistol.  I'm ready to do another so I can have a brace.  Pistols are not easier to do than rifles.  They just occupy less space.  I'm pleased with parts supplied by Chris.

Excellent looking pistol and the workmanship is very well carried to completion. Parts appear to be of high quality. Nice job. Overall color and design, wood carving, work well together. Thanks for sharing. AJ.

That's a really nice pistol!!!!! I really like the fact that it isn't over decorated!!! As stated above though now you have to match it and that may be far more work. LOL    Frank

Looks great! Pistols may be smaller, but there is less to hold onto which is what I thought was harder about building them.

Would it be proper that such a pistol was cased or would Wm Henry II have  presented it to the buyer without boxing it up.  I have always been curious how makers delivered the finished firearm especially if it were a little more than plain with silver furniture.  ???

Good looking pistol. Chris Altland's stuff is top drawer. Mark Wealand has done a bunch of beautifull stuff with his kits. I'd love to do a Beck pistol.

Nice clean job, and nice tang carving.  Pistols take nearly as much work as a rifle and are a lot harder to hold....

The bronze barrel makes a pleasing contrast with the silver.  Nicely done.
