On the blog today a very fine rifle by Gerald Neaves ... Gerald hasn't done any building for several years, but this outstanding rifle certainly shows his many talents . LP

I didn't realize that Gerald made full size longrifles, his work is fantastic! Several years ago I owned a miniature longrifle made by him (he's made several of them) and it was a work of art. Thanks for the heads up Louie.

I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Gerald when he was building rifles, he did great work and he's a gentleman to boot!

This rifle was completely made by Gerald in the 80s , from scrap metal gathered here and there and southern maple that he cut locally >> He did have Ed Rayl bore and rifle the bbl ..Not bad for something made of scraps. or made from anything else for that matter !!!! LP

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?
