Hi Bill,
Wonderful rifle as usual.  Thank you for posting pictures.  You and the others who show us their high quality work are the mainstays of this forum and what make it the best on the web for pre-industrial gun building.

Nice looking rifle Bill. I like the Ketland engraving on the lock.

Simple, Clean of line, Understated elegance.
I really like the "patina", it softens the whole look of the rifle.

Beautifully done, Sir

Bill, Very good work! A well executed, well thought out, and well balanced example of an early rifle. I like it. Keep up the good work. Regards, Jerry Rice

Thanks for the compliments. The barrel is 44 in. , a standard Getz B wt.  The lock is a Chambers Early Ketland. To critique myself, the chip carving is a little wimpy, should be more prominent. And the religious verses should more dominate the patchbox lid. It's all  a bit  "safe". There's nothing I've ever done I'm not critical of and that's the only hope I have that an old  guy like me, "not that old", can get better and compete with the "youngsters" that have been so brilliant.
