Yes, the 4 bore is a percussion gun.

 Well, this self styled genius picked it up, promptly put a finger onto each trigger and pulled the front oneSomehow or another, that set off the back trigger and it more or less doubled.  The word was that the bruise on his body was just absolutely amazing.  Ouch!!


It always does. I tried it once with my double 12 bore - both fingers in to get a faster second shot - well you will, every time - trouble is, it goes off during the recoil impulse with the barrels elevated. Wouldn't have been be a lot of fun for the, shall we say, now wiser individual.

I built a 6 bore, the barrel coming from E. Rayle  It has now been restocked and converted into a punt gun with swivel  !   ;D   I also added about a lb of lead to the front where the swivel is attached.
It is much friendlier now.  Lots of fun when used to wake up the camp ,  [ drill hole in stump, then insert swivel ]    150 gr of FFg and a palm full of .32 cal balls is pretty hard on the 50 yd targets
