just never cared much for the lite finish or the bare metal. have done several locks and small parts but this was my first time browning a barrel,turned out ok i guess.

What did you use for browning solution?

i used Birchwood Caseys plumb brown on the metal and Homer Dangler golden brown wood stain

Certainly a cheap way to get a whole new rifle! Try the Dangler Browning solution the next time I get great results with it in addition to Homer's stains.

Excellent results with a very nice makeover! The darker wood looks much better IMO .
