The plate is a nice touch, very well done by Tom Curran. Overall it's a mighty fine piece. I can hardly stop looking at it and wishing.

That song and the symbol of half horse-half alligator captured our attention when we brainstormed about the rifle.

Here are some images of the final gun. Gun by Mitch Yates. Engraving by Acer Saccharum. Photography by Jim Filipski.
There are materials donated, but I don't have that list in front of me. This gun is going up for auction at the CLA show in Aug. Keep an eye out in the publications for the event, Broadside, Muzzleblasts, Muzzleloader, etc. Enjoy.

My compliments to all the craftsmen involved in this project. All the auction items are great. My only regret is that I cant see them in person and be there to bid on them. Again, a job well done.   Smylee

Mitch that is a super job. Thanks for the photo's, they are a great learning tool as well as a document of the building of the gun. Something that I think is important to the future of the longrifle. Think of all the future builders that will not have to re-invent the building process as we and the builders before us have had to do. The golden age of the long rifle is still in progression as your rifle shows.
