Mystery Bags
« on: February 03, 2012, 04:50:37 PM »

These bags came from Northern Quebec Algonquin Reserve around 10 or so years ago.  They are in closed position as pictured.  You would swear there is no way to slide the 'ribboned' section back down into the pouch area to open the darned things.  They do work and in fact I recall being shown how to grip a certain spot to slide them open or shut as the case might be; but can't recall the secret.  How about it anyone out there know about them and their secret operation ???  And of course willing to share.

Made a little one from veg tan and hang it from my pouch strap...with a dollar in it...and see if kids can figure out how to get it out! Lotsa fun.
