Long Knife
« on: February 05, 2012, 05:15:49 AM »
Inclose is a photo of a long knife I just bought. Photo quality is poor as the blade is finnished so fine that it created alot of glare when I took the pics. Knife made by Jim Poling, Journeyman Bladesmith .  Great knife maker who does it the way good knives are suposed to be made, from forge and anvil. I am going to try to get some better photos latter.   Smylee                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      The way it looks , I still dont have this picture posting down pat, will have to work on that too.

Smylee,
Nice looking knife but that fancy choyle (sp) looks mighty uncomfortable.

I thought of that but that is one of the purposes of it to keep you away from the edge. I might stone the peakes more round if it becomes a problem. Jim Poling is a great knife maker and I supplied the pattern for him and he did a great job.     Smylee
