Hammer Clearance

Could someone please show me what the stock carving for hammer clearance should look like?
I have searched but cannot locate an example. Thank you , D

So I guess I have to keep removing a little wood until the pan seats flush against barrel ?
I guess there is no other way , I'm just worried about removing to much wood.
I guess I'm going at it ok.......D :(

yes, definitely seat the lock against the barrel. otherwise fowling or unburned powder will enter the lock internals. fowling in there just causes lock problems. unburned powder can actualy blow the lock off. not a good thing.    mark
