Mike, where's High Point, I'm going to Myrtle Beach in March, from up here in Michigan.  Where in North Carolina is it located.  Was thinking of doing  Willy burg on my trip also.  Sounds like a great show.

Bill,
Myrtle Beach is in SOUTH Carolina and not near Williamsburg.

Why would you want to go to myrtle beach? Have you no giant shopping centers back home? Come down here to Atlantic Beach,We have Blackbeard, Fort Maco and Tryon Palace. They aren't plastic and contrived.

Bill,
High Point is in the center of North Carolina and is 15 miles from Winston-Salem and 20 miles from Greensboro.  It is located on I-85 and also the junction of new I-73 & I-74.  It is 3 1/2 hours from Myrtle Beach.

Thanks,

Michael

Bob, thanks, I know Williamsburg is in the Tidewater area of Virginia, and I know the shows in North Carolina, and since I'm meandering my way there, I thought I'd spend some time in all three places.  Northern Michigan in March sucks.  The snow is grey brown, kinda like A/F before you blush it, the temp is between 2, and 50, sometimes two or three times in the same day, and the month seems like it is 60 days long, so I always plan on spending a good part of it south of the Mason-Dixon.

Bill - you can slip over to I-77 in Ohio if you want to go to High Point.  That is a good route down through WV and Virginia, hit US52/I-74 at Mt. Airy just after you drop down off the Blue Ridge inside North Carolina, and take that down to the I-40/Winston Salem area.  High Point is not far from there.  The Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts at Winston Salem has a nice group of southern longirlfes on display as well.

I was just thinking that this would make an excellent stop for anyone in the north eastern quadrant on their way to the Norris TN show in April. Right off I-85 and not far off I-40.
