Steel buckle for possibles bag
« on: February 14, 2012, 08:09:33 PM »
Does anyone know where I could find a simple square steel buckle for my hunting pouch that
would look correct for mid 1800s to fit a strap of about 1 and 1/8th inches or less?

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Rob,
I have an "old" steel buckle that looks, I don't think it is, like it could be forged. It will take up to a 13/16 strap. If that will work for you, you can have it.
