Banded Horn Two Part Tip
« on: February 15, 2012, 07:09:00 PM »
It is about 15” around the oust side curve. The base is about 2 ½”, it is Walnut, hollowed out about ¾, it is held in by the same 4 steel pins that hold the base band on. The two part tip is antler, the tip is pinned to the collar with 4 wooden pins and then pinned to the horn with 4 more. The bands were heated and pressed on then secured with 3 steel pins each. Color is AF and shoe polish.

Really nice horn, Tim.  I like the color.  All the turnings are done really well.  Way to go, Man.
