Goodoien barrel value
« on: February 29, 2012, 05:22:37 PM »
I've finally made a trade on a very nice WB Selb Hawken.
So I have a few item's I'm going to sell, hopefully.
One of them is a Jim Goodoien match grade barrel, 42" long, 7/8ths across the flats, 45 cal. Outside has a little surface rust, inside is pristine.
What's it worth?
Thanks
Jim

Try $250 and see what happens.  If I recall, this is about what they cost before they disappeared from the market.  Of course in that sense they are now very rare and could command an even higher price.

Goodoien barrels are absolutely some of the best I've ever used.  $250 is a good price.

I think Charles Burton up in Morehead, KY now makes these barrels. He would know the value.

I have a Goodoien 54 cal taper barrel on my Hawken. It is a very accurate rifle. I think you would have NO trouble selling it at 250 or even higher. :)
