It looks like one of many Breach treatments from the 16th 17th centuries, like the bone nesecaps, etc.

That blows my mind, they (and you) actually used BONE for parts like that? I am amazed. Your work is fabulous by the way.

First you build the wheellock and create the demand, then you supply the sparks. Genius.

It was a joke.  Kodak sold cameras at no profit.  They sold the film for the cameras at a large profit.  Your lock is the camera and the pyrite is the film.  ;)

Thank you for sharing your work with us.  It inspires me.

Now I understand. Thank you!. but with me you can buy and the "camera and film." unfortunately just have to wait long. He works alone, 99% of the amount of work in the construction of a particular object is my job and I'm very happy. I have the pleasure to feel the taste of metal, wood and other raw materials. Studjuje at his job the right mechanics, structure of the workpiece material, and a full range of aspects rooted in the craft. I'm happy and I thank God that I can work  :)

I wish you guys similar experiences  :)

I'm sorry Bolek, I forget the distance between us.
One day you will have to write a description of the relationships of all of the various parts of your locks. Maybe with some of your well known, to some, line drawings.
Here are two questions that are on my mind: How do you make the pan for these early locks? and How many cigarettes did you smoke while making this one? ;D
