Jim
I have a set of instructions for Pioneer Arms Co. Mule ear Lock and I can scan and email these to you if this is the Lock you have. If it was made by someone else or an older lock these may not be helpful as there seems to be some variation in how these locks are made.

Dale Storey made a lot of mule ear locks also.  There are a bunch of them out there, including one that disappeared from my table at a gunshow back in the early 90's.

I wonder if the same thief stole the side slapper that stole one of my $375 English style 4 screw locks from Don Stith at Friendship a few years ago??

well boys I aintgot no  english lock . but I heard you make real fine locks bob. I haven't seen don in along time at freindship. But I am going off in a diffrent course. The lock parts that I have does not have acoil spring. The hammer tumbler (for abetter term) has two notches and a fly. Someone  said they thought Ian pratt had one of these in brass . I can't testify to that. Thanks guys for keeping me in mind  Jim

Jim,

Sounds kinda like the one my friend Pat has. Does yours  have the weird lil "Quail" type hammer extension??

Pat's came as a Pile-O-Parts, but we have all made our Own Muleys.. So he just punted and figgered the thing out on his own ;D
