Robert Kirk
« on: April 02, 2012, 03:26:32 AM »
I saw a very nice contemporary flintlock rifle at a gun show in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada made by Robert Kirk who worked various places in British Columbia and apparently has built over 50 rifles.

I was wondering if anybody on this board is familiar with his work and could provide any information or thoughts on Robert Kirk and his rifles.

Thank you for your consideration.

Regards,
Bradford

I've known Robert "Bob" Kirk for a very long time.  He is a very talented and gifted artist, well known by his fellow British Columbians for his longrifles, and for his 'Wood Spirit' carvings.  I believe he now lives and works in Cranbrook, BC.  I'll see if I can come up with a picture of him.

Bradford...sorry.  I don't have a single image of his rifle work.  He will be at the BC Rendezvous Aug. 25 - Sep 3.  Or at least some of the time during that 10 days.  He often has rifles for sale, and he's not expensive.
