Bullet Skip
« on: April 07, 2012, 10:22:51 PM »
If anyone has any interest, watch Shooting USA's Impossible Shots this coming Wednesday. I skipped a bullet off a pond and hit a balloon at 100 yards. If you think it's good, contact Shooting USA and tell them so. I could use the support.

Thanks in advance,

Centershot (George Sutton)  AKA Mr. Flintlock

George,
Is that a re-run?  Seems like I watched an episode of something a year or two ago where they were doing the same thing.

Hi TOF, it is a rerun. It aired about six months ago. I'm trying to get them to do more black powder stuff. Although I get some fan support, there are a lot of people who like the modern stuff. I would hate to see the muzzleloader portion of the show go by the wayside. I don't care if it's me or someone else doing the shooting, I just feel like we need to keep it going.

I actually did E-Mail. I asked to have more Black Powder stuff on the Show. Also, made the suggestion to have a Lady Black Powder Shooter on too. Thought maybe that would get more Women into the Sport?? Mr. Scouten did reply saying, " I only do what I`m told to do."

We didn't film last season because Brian Speciale left the show. They did find a replacement, his name is Rob Youngblood, so we should start back this summer.

I once skipped a 50 caliber maxiball off the grass about six feet in front of a 12 x 12 inch bullseye target setting on the ground.  There was a perfect keyhole through the center of the bull.  I didn't do it on purpose because my thumb slipped off the cock of my flinter while I was easing it into fullcock position.  I did have the gonne pretty well lined up before this happened, but was not looking through the sights at the time.
