JDK.....I bought the star stamped the way it was, then filed the four "quarter" points a little to give them a closer shape to the ones I seen before on Allen's and Smallpatch's guns. Yes, you are right, the north and south points are smaller than the ones seen on those other guns, but that's how it came.....don't have a metal adding machine in my little basement workshop.
Do you think I should hold off inlaying this star and cut a bigger/better one from silver sheet that more closely resembles the other ones??

I would make a new one as it bothers me. Look at some others, compare to yours and if it looks right to and is correct to the rifle, go for it. Better safe than sorry. Enjoy, J.D.

Agreed JDK.....I'll make a new hunters star that looks more like the ones we mentioned. Whew....dodged another roundball!!
