odd ball question

I have a kind of odd but really basic question.  I am picking up a new ML rifle this morning.   When I check the twist;  what is the break point between a roundball gun and a front-loading blackpowder bullet rifle?

I have not gone to the dark-side--really, ::)   I still have a .50 flinter on my workbench and a flint pistol waiting in the que in  addition to my other real muzzleloaders

What will you use it for ?  For targets, you can reduce the charge, and get good accuracy even with a faster twist. I have won matches with my .45 bullet gun, 1 / 18 twist  . Patched ball and 20 gr 3F is a subsonic very accurate load.  Not useful for much else, but a lot of fun . I think I've seen .50 cal guns with 1/28 twists used with RB , but the 1/48 was the supposed multi tasker IIRC
