Finished two powder horns to commemorate the two French & Indian war fortifications that once stood along the Susquehanna river where I'm from. Fort Halifax is located on land that once was my uncles familys farm 5 miles south of my home. Fort Augusta is 30 minutes north of my home. These horns were made for the annual Fort Halifax festival, but due to previous commitments and a rifle build in progress, I was unable to attend this past year.

Very nice work. I especially like the "Halifax" lip's file work and architecture. How's the lehigh rifle coming along?
Nice horns!

The rifle is coming along....s l o w l y Leatherbelly. I'm relief carving it now. I did a little rocco-like incise design under the entry  pipe and started around the lock panels and barrel tang. I feel like I'm playing that old game "OPERATION" when I have a chisel in my hand near the stock!!! Fearful of touching the sides of the hole with the tweezers and getting a loud buzzing alarm!!!  :-[ Thanks for askin' though. And thanks for the ego boost on the horns guys....the relief carving depleted my ego supply. ;D
