National Wild Turkey Federations "JAKES" event
« on: June 11, 2012, 04:31:54 AM »
Yesterday June 9 th . I helped out at the National Wild Turkey Federations  Jakes event. Four of my black powder friends and I put on the muzzleloading  event. We had 537 kids come through to shoot .32 cal. Traditions Rifles. Not quite traditional in that we used American Pioneer powder instead of black but  with that many shots we didn't have to clean one rifle and the only malfuction was a dryball . With 20 grains of powder .310 ball and a .015 patch the kids hit some small targets three inch disc at twenty yards.was one of them. If you ever have a chance to do something like this don't hesitate to say yes .It's a good way to promote our sport.
