Progress on "offhand" shooting
« on: June 17, 2012, 06:22:31 AM »
Went out today to practice some more "offhand" shooting. I was able to call all my shots. Thats a big improvement. I also kept them all in a resonable, 3", group. That was at 50 yards. I know lots of you guys are a lot better than that, but for me just starting out thats very good. The important thing was I was able to call the shots. Now with more strengthening work at the gym I shoud be able to control the rifle much better. Progressing a little at a time. FRJ

Good on ya!  When I call my shots, I usually just say, "OK, this one is going downrange..."   ;D

Not being that certain, I just sorta suggest a direction.  That way, if I say "east" and it goes between "north" and "south", it doesn't hurt my reputation!   ;D

More seriously, the best thing I ever did for my offhand shooting was acquire a good air gun.  With it, I have no excuse not to practice almost daily.

Air gun practice is great advise.  Served me well.

Nothing is hard if you have the right equipment and know how to use it.  OR have friends who have both.
