I have a 54 cal fullstock handmade ( All parts cartouched) flinter and it is supposedly an Indiana maker of some note. Can anyone shed some light on this maker??

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

Phil is a great guy and interesting.  He was a very good builder but when I knew him he was building mostly flint Hawkens, he may well have built other styles.  I think he moved west to work at one of the Hawken shops, possibly Green River Rifle Works.  I think he worked with Taylor Sapergia
kind regards, heinz
